Dr. Lisa Rai

With over 20 years of experience Dr. Rai is focused on providing the highest standards of care for her patients.  She enjoys explaining treatment options in detail with patients, in a relaxed environment, such that they can make the best, most informed decisions about their oral health. 

As a Doctor of Dental Surgery Dr. Rai continues to keep herself at the forefront of current methodologies and technology by expanding her skill set in the areas of:  cosmetic smile rehabilitations; complex restorative needs, such as implants; crowns and veneers; gum surgery; root canals; and treating anxious and medically compromised patients. 

Dr. Rai received her degree in Dentistry from the University of Toronto after completing her undergraduate degree at the UBC. She went on to complete a postgraduate multi-disciplinary residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Centre before beginning private practice.

A Message from Dr. Rai

I am passionate about the oral health care of my patients and about continuing education. I strongly believe in preventive dentistry and routine check ups, as early detection is the key to a healthy and pain-free mouth.  I look to identify patient concerns on an individual basis, with an emphasis on communication and a gentle approach. It is important to me that you trust me as your dentist and in return I strive to provide the best quality dentistry, specific to your individual needs and within your comfort level.

Over the years, I have met the most challenging needs of my patients while expanding my skill set. In some cases, if your treatment involves interdisciplinary care, such as hospital care, I may collaborate with a team of specialists, with whom I maintain an excellent rapport. My goal is for you to always be happy with your smile and overall oral health.

In my spare time I enjoy biking, running and hiking.  I also enjoy traveling, reading, photography, film and spending time with my husband and two active children.  Along with my staff, I very much enjoy hearing of the passions and hobbies of each of our patients.

I also mentor younger peers and enjoy engaging with children. In the summers, you may see dental students observing us at work, with your prior permission.  I have also volunteered in Cambodia alongside a rural pediatric dentist in treating local orphanage children and their support staff. It was one of the most rewarding experiences in my career and I look forward to further opportunities, such as these, in the future.
